Jin Nan, the saintess of the Eighteen Caves of Huaheng, had her heart pierced by her own twin sister and was kicked off a cliff. She fell from the heights of glory and became a powerless wreck with no money and no cultivation.
By sheer luck, she landed on the grounds of the reclusive Medicine King Valley. At least she survived.
Wen Shixu, the young master of the valley: “My dear, you should repay me for saving your life by giving yourself to me.”
Jin Nan: “Go to hell.”
While recovering in the valley, she learned every medical art it had to offer and prepared to venture into the martial world alone.
Good heavens, what a cruel world! Why was everything outside so harsh? Jin Nan couldn’t get enough to eat or warm clothes to wear, and she even had a beggar tagging along.
A stampede of curses thundered through Jin Nan’s mind. Was she going to have to beg for a living from now on?
The little beggar: “Sure! I’ll take care of you.”
Jin Nan: “No way. I have medical skills. I can support myself.”
But nobody told me there were so many deadbeats who wouldn’t pay for their medical treatment.
With no other choice, she became a living bodhisattva. Before long, the Central Plains had a famous woman physician who charged no money for treatment, only a drop of blood from the heart.
The little beggar: “You’d be better off charging money.”
*Strong female lead, no fixed couple, ship whoever you like. A little ensemble cast, but the plot is the focus.
