The story takes place in Gushu Village in the southwest mountainous area, where traditional funeral customs are preserved. The villagers fear ghosts and gods but are closed-minded. In recent years, young people have gone out to work, leading to a collision between traditional and modern concepts, and some people use superstition to defraud. On the surface, it is a supernatural event of "expelling evil spirits and catching ghosts", but in fact it is a confrontation between human greed and scientific rationality. All "ghosts" are man-made designs or natural phenomena, and the truth is ultimately revealed through scientific means.
