The Ye Luoli warriors: Wang Mo willingly makes her final choice, appearing for love and undergoing immortalization. She is transformed into the Contract Princess, flowing like a gentle stream. Shui Qingli brings his beloved wife Wang Mo to the Water Exquisite Palace, but the people there do not accept that a human can bear the love of their vast populace.
Wang Mo is willing to prove in the days ahead that she is worthy of the responsibility of ruling the spirit lakes and seas. Shui Qingli gives her all the confidence she needs. “The girl I chose myself could never let this ocean down. You should support her just as you support me.”
Shui Qingli personally overturns the belief that a human cannot become empress of the Water Exquisite Palace. He kisses her tenderly on the lips, and the palace's people, though furious, can only accept it without protest.
But the mysterious person who transformed Wang Mo into an immortal never told them about the unknown curse. The Water Exquisite Palace's prosperity does not last long. Outside forces take their toll, and the palace becomes overwhelmed. Shui Qingli collapses, looking weak, and Wang Mo anxiously supports him. The mysterious person makes a small deal to ease the source of the palace's pollution.
Not long afterward, Wang Mo begins to show signs of pregnancy. When she suddenly suffers an unusual bout of morning sickness, Shui Qingli is terribly worried. He brings the Spring of Life to examine her, and they learn that Wang Mo is expecting twins, a boy and a girl. Shui Qingli tentatively touches her belly, at a loss for what to do. Wang Mo says happily, “Shui Qingli, our children must be looking forward to meeting us.”
Shui Qingli says anxiously, “Yes, Mo'er, but I'm still afraid it'll hurt you.”
Wang Mo, still as innocent as ever, replies, “I'm not afraid. These two little ones are the fruit of our love.”
But Wang Mo often misses home and wants to return to the human world to see her family and visit old friends. Little does she know that, far away, the Dark Eye of the Ten Orders is watching her.
