Bones of Wei

The story takes place during the later years of the Cao Wei regime in the Three Kingdoms period. It begins with Cao Pi’s death in 226 and spans the reigns of rulers such as Cao Rui and Cao Fang, ending with Sima Yan’s founding of the Western Jin in 265. During this period, the Sima clan gradually takes control of Cao Wei, and political struggles grow fierce. The Huainan region sees repeated rebellions, including those led by Wang Ling, Guanqiu Jian, and Zhuge Dan. As the executor of Cao Pi’s final wishes, Yuan Qi stands at the heart of the power struggle. He must contend with threats from Shu Han and Eastern Wu while biding his time under the Sima clan’s oppressive rule, waiting for the chance to fulfill his mission: destroy the Sima clan and restore Cao Wei.
