She Regretted Breaking Up with Him for Her Childhood Friend

Love on the scales is never balanced, and a first love and a childhood friend can never be just friends.

And the childhood sweetheart caught between them can never treat both sides equally.

(Chasing her down the road to regret is too little, too late.)

On an utterly ordinary night, Wen Jingting's love died.

Three years had been like a slow, fierce blade, gradually wearing away his love before finally delivering the last blow.

Erasing it completely.

Lu Xianwan had to spend her birthday with Jiang Xuyan.

Jiang Xuyan expected Lu Xianwan to spend his birthday with him.

Wen Jingting never made a scene, and Lu Xianwan never thought there was anything wrong with it.

She always said she would celebrate his birthday with him too, but Wen Jingting's birthday fell on the anniversary of Jiang Xuyan's mother's death, so he had never expected anything from her.

And Lu Xianwan dismissed their anniversary as “unnecessary.”

Wen Jingting finally made up his mind to leave. That day, she accompanied Jiang Xuyan to a banquet and didn't even answer his calls.

When she later found out he had moved out, she assumed he was just throwing a tantrum.

He always forgave her, so Lu Xianwan had never once offered him a gentle explanation.
