Young Hero draws inspiration from the jianghu atmosphere of Where Winds Meet, but creates an entirely original world spanning north and south, where the fate of the nation and the jianghu intertwine.
In the early Song dynasty, the Peach Blossom Ferry in Mingzhou, the bustling streets of Qinghe, and the Sixteen Prefectures of Yanyun in Liao territory form the settings for three parallel paths of fate. Shen Mu, the young master of a Mingzhou family, is transformed from a gentle young gentleman into a wandering stranger after a sudden upheaval. Luo Xinghe, young master of the Blood Cloud Tower, conceals his identity and navigates the undercurrents step by step. And the as-yet-unnamed young master from Qinghe lays the seeds of another legend through an encounter with a child at the ferry.
Each of them follows a path of their own, whether searching for family, seeking revenge, or protecting what matters. Though their fates seem to run in parallel, they will eventually collide amid the jianghu’s turbulent tides.
As the three paths intertwine, friendship and enmity, nation and individual, fate and choice clash in a stirring tale of the jianghu spanning north and south. In the early Song dynasty, the waters around Peach Blossom Ferry in Mingzhou conceal a rising storm. Shen Mu, the young master who should have inherited the family business, is transformed from a gentle young gentleman into a wandering stranger by a sudden upheaval.
As he travels along the waterways of the East Zhejiang Canal and the Sui-Tang Grand Canal, saving an unknown person from the raging inferno in Qinghe, the wheels of fate are already turning.
Meanwhile, Luo Xinghe, young master of the Blood Cloud Tower, conceals his identity in a jianghu rife with hidden currents. Two souls who should never have crossed paths meet under assumed names, brought together by fate.
They first meet at sixteen, then set out again at eighteen and twenty. Shen Mu enters the jianghu twice, his outlook evolving from youthful naivety to world-weariness as he gradually embarks on the path of a wandering hero in search of his family, venturing deep into Liao territory
