"The Sound of Strings Tells a Dream" features Pingtan artists Shen Nianqiu and Lin Yaqin as the protagonists, spanning from the Republic of China to the 21st century, showing that they have adhered to their original aspirations in times such as war and the Cultural Revolution, and elevated Pingtan from a livelihood skill to a spiritual weapon that awakens the people. Three generations have used string sounds to weave a cultural map, writing the resilient inheritance and life symphony of traditional art in the fission of the times.
