A family trial from a thousand years ago planted the seeds of disaster, leaving him a splinter of the curse, bound fast by the malevolent aura of the Goyu family.
Goyu Sui and Goyu Sei, who share two personalities; Shima, who wields a palette knife; Conan, who sees through the maze of mysteries... One by one, the souls of the dead, cast into another world by the curse, gather here. They are all trapped in a prison where they are “alive, yet unable to find release.”
The pendant's secret is a key to the road home called “Deliverance.” He must guide every soul from another world to their rest to earn the right to leave. The final step on this path to salvation is for Feng Jin to let go of every attachment and sever the chains of the curse with a choice made in “no desire to survive.”
When he finally reaches the end, all the souls he has delivered are waiting quietly in the light on the other shore, ready to share the stories entwined with fate and curses as they set out on their next journey through life.
