This book could be considered an apocalypse novel, or a military novel wearing an apocalypse setting. There is a pocket dimension, but it serves only as a minor aid. There are no superpowers or golden fingers: the protagonist’s formidable military skills are his only advantage.
Qiao Yuan is a special operations soldier who disobeyed orders during an undercover mission and wiped out a drug lord’s entire family. After retiring, he was betrayed by his fiancée. When he woke up from a drunken stupor, the apocalypse had already begun.
After the zombie virus breaks out, he becomes the leader of a combat squad, only to be abandoned again. After fighting his superior, he escapes the base. Following a crash, he is rescued by Lao Wu and other survivors in another city, and begins his escape plan. Along the way, he meets the heroine, Su Ruoxue.
As their feelings grow intertwined, he gradually pulls himself out of his despair and begins to mature.
The idea came from a novel I read a long time ago. I drew inspiration from its romance and the protagonist’s growth, but sadly, the author died partway through, leaving behind endless regret!
I’m not capable of continuing that novel, so I’ve changed the setting to write my own version. I welcome your suggestions and will humbly take them to heart!
Very good book
Yes, after reading the first few chapters, the writing is excellent and realistic.
I don't know how to evaluate it. The protagonist team is either dead or on the way to death.
