I Bought Myself a Little Husband

After Bai Xingmian’s parents died young, his uncle’s family made his life miserable in every way. One day, his aunt sold him as a concubine to a wealthy man in his forties. With nowhere else to turn, he fled into the mountains, where, on a stormy night, he met the prince Ji Mo Yanzhi, who was traveling under the alias of a hunter.

Ji Mo Yanzhi had earned countless military honors, but his parents had driven him out of the capital because he was still unmarried. In this little village, he met Bai Xingmian for the first time and was immediately touched by those limpid eyes. When Bai Xingmian’s uncle’s family gave him a hard time, Ji Mo Yanzhi stood up for him and rescued him with thirty taels of silver as the bride price.

Ji Mo Yanzhi: I only think of him as my younger brother.

Bai Xingmian: But, Gege, aren’t I your younger brother?

Ji Mo Yanzhi: You’re my younger brother, and my husband too.
