“Thanos, you’re too merciful.” As beams of world-ending light streak across the universe, Thanos falls silent, watching the boy before him play with planets like billiard balls.

“You’ve gone a little too far,” Batman says, staring at the Joker hanging from a telephone pole, lost in thought.
