I chose to have her transmigrate rather than be reborn because I want her and Yinzhen to rekindle their relationship in the modern world. I also made her lose her modern memories because I think that even if a modern person ended up in ancient times, they wouldn't dare scheme to kill someone. At least I wouldn't, and I don't have the brains for it anyway.
I also really like An Lingrong and Yinzhen, so this may be a bit of a brainless story.
