The Twelve Spirit Pearls of the Realm

In ancient times, heaven and earth were still a formless chaos. So the Supreme Lord Pangu split heaven and earth apart with his Heaven-Splitting Axe, and from then on, the world had its boundaries. The Celestial Goddess Nuwa scattered her blood across the land, and living beings came into existence. The Supreme Lord Pangu transformed himself into the blazing sun, while the Celestial Goddess Nuwa became the yin moon, bringing day and night and the changing seasons to the world. To keep heaven and earth from falling back into chaos, the Supreme Lord Pangu scattered his twelve spirit pearls across the land. Once the pearls are reunited, heaven and earth can begin a new cycle.
