The Tamis Chronicles: Prelude
In 3000 AD, a catastrophe known as the “Great Annihilation” struck without warning. The land was left in ruins, and the surviving humans were forced underground, where they struggled to survive. But the Great Annihilation brought more than natural disasters. It also caused Earth’s species to mutate and evolve into terrifying Annihilation Beasts that rampaged across the surface, making humanity’s hopes of returning there even more remote... Yet perhaps Heaven took pity on the innocent. On June 24, 3012, a scientist in humanity’s largest underground city, “Second Paradise,” made an astonishing discovery. By chance, Dr. Aradella Hepcadien found a transparent, diamond-shaped crystal, twenty centimeters long, among the bones of an Annihilation Beast. This tiny crystal contained enough energy to power a major city for half an hour. Even more astonishing, its composition baffled every physicist and chemist: it was made of entirely new particles and elements. The crystal shattered every established scientific benchmark, and even more excitingly, whenever the flesh of an Annihilation Beast touched it, the beast was reduced to dust. Overjoyed, Aradella immediately removed the crystal from the center of the monster’s skull and named it the Tamis Crystal (TAMIX). Later, with the help of Longhua Heavy Industries, humanity fused Tamis crystals with specialized steel to develop a new material called T-steel. From it, they built humanity’s most powerful weapon against the Annihilation: the Sky Armor.
Hardship would eventually pass. Faced with a future full of hope and the unknown, humanity would no longer bow its head, but instead look up toward the azure skies of memory...
