Fantasy mystery / episodic stories / suspense and growth
Protagonist: Jiang Buyu, a young wandering exorcist born with Yin-Yang Eyes. On the surface, he is a lazy shopkeeper running a dilapidated bookstore of ancient texts. In truth, he works as a freelance operative for the Underworld's Soul Ferrying Office. He carries a blank Spirit Ledger. Whenever he solves a mysterious case involving ghosts, a page revealing the truth appears in the ledger, while a fragment of sealed memories from a past life is unlocked.
Worldbuilding (fictional setting)
The order of the Three Realms: Humans, ghosts, and gods signed a "Pact of Seclusion." Ghosts may not appear before or harm the living, and gods may not directly interfere in the mortal world. They can only intervene indirectly through "karmic debts," such as grudges from past lives and loopholes in contracts.
Mysticism meets the strange: In modern cities, ancient occult arts survive in new forms. Nuo shamans livestream their séances, great demons disguise themselves as influencers, and electronic data becomes a new medium for ghosts.
Core conflict: Jiang Buyu's memories are incomplete. All he knows is that he was cast down into the mortal world to atone for violating the laws of heaven. Yet every story about a dead soul recorded in the Spirit Ledger conceals a secret capable of rewriting the order of the Three Realms. Someone wants to use him to revive the ancient era when humans and ghosts lived side by side.
