In a century-old fishing village on the coast of southern Fujian, folk photographer Zhou Mo received an anonymous letter asking him to bring three strange objects (bronze mirror core, ashes of sandalwood, and blood-soaked hemp rope) to the abandoned mirror house. This mansion in the Republic of China is famous for its "Nine Palaces Mirror Array" constructed of eight soul-soaking bronze mirrors. It is said that the mirror contains the resentful spirit of the young mistress of the Shen family who died of dystocia and hemorrhage in 1937.
