The Fortune of Meeting You

In a city crowded with towering steel-and-concrete buildings, food is more than a feast for the taste buds. It is also medicine for the soul. Food streamer Su Ruan pushes forward amid the tide of livestreaming. On camera, her inventive dishes once brought warmth to countless viewers, but now her continually plummeting numbers weigh on her like shackles, trapping her in a creative rut. Late at night in her livestream studio, she sits motionless before a dark screen. The blank pages in her planning notebook seem to silently mock her for having run out of ideas, while anxiety and confusion wash over her like a tide.

Meanwhile, in the cubicles of an office tower, white-collar worker Yu Zhiyuan spends every day moving between meetings and reports. Behind the polished facade of his work life lies an exhaustion and loneliness he can hardly put into words. The hectic pace has made his life monotonous and dull. Deep down, he too longs for a touch of warmth and beauty to bring color to his ordinary days.
