Su Tian, an independent pastry chef, and Lu Shenhua, the CEO of a technology company with an extremely picky palate (almost "mesophobic"), accidentally became connected over a pure natural mousse cake "Summer Night Starry Sky". Lu Shenhua was so moved by the purity of the cake that he made an exception and appointed Su Tian as his personal dessert supplier, and issued an "alien menu" that could be described as stringent and almost laboratory-level.
The main line of the story revolves around Su Tian's successive attempts to conquer difficult orders put forward by Lu Shenyang, from sweet-scented osmanthus water cake, Sichuan scallop and tangerine peel stewed pear, to nostalgic lard and peach cake, to panna cotta and Fei Nanxue that require special skills. Each challenge not only honed Su Tian's skills, but also allowed her to gradually gain a glimpse of Lu Shenshan's obsession with "pure" and "authentic" taste behind the iceberg appearance, as well as the past memories and emotions that may be hidden behind this obsession (such as the childhood memories evoked by Tao Su).
