Drifting Soul

My husband died in a car accident while on a spring outing with his old flame.

The police contacted me to identify his body.

When I saw his old flame clinging to his corpse and crying herself unconscious, I pulled out a tissue and handed it to my husband.

The moment my hand passed right through him, I laughed.

How could I have forgotten? He was dead now, and his soul was stuck by my side, unable to go far away.

He couldn't leave me when he was alive, and he couldn't leave me in death.

What a mess!
