The Brocade Merchant

Modern female executive Qin Yuxuan collapses from working overtime. When she wakes up, she discovers that she has transmigrated into the body of Qin Xuan, a peasant girl in ancient times, in impoverished Qin Family Village. As her memories merge, she learns that her original self was promised in marriage to the Li family in a neighboring village by her gambling-addict father. On her wedding night, Qin Xuan discovers that her husband, Li Maocai, is a violent drunk who beats and kicks her in their bridal chamber. Cleverly defending herself with a candlestick, Qin Xuan escapes the Li home, only to be cornered by the Li family by the river at the village entrance. Just then, Xiao Jingheng, the Prime Minister's son, happens to pass by, witnesses the injustice, and steps in to help.
