Secrets of the ancient village
In that era when traffic was congested and information was difficult to access, there was a small village called Qingping Village, hidden among the mountains, so quiet that it seemed as if it had been forgotten by time. The houses in the village are scattered in a well-proportioned manner, all of civil structures, with roofs covered with thatch, and smoke occasionally rising from the chimneys. A winding dirt road runs through the village. Beside the road is a gurgling stream. The water is so clear that you can see swimming fish and pebbles on the bottom of the water.
There are many taboos spread in the village, and the villagers firmly believe in them. For example, after the sun sets, you must not go alone to the old forest behind the village; on the first and fifteenth day of each month, you must worship your ancestors at home and pray for blessings; if someone in the family dies, cats and dogs are not allowed near the mourning hall during the wake.
