o North: suburban industrial area (the rusty boiler factory and the concrete mixing station operating day and night symbolize the brutal expansion of modernization);
o South: Cricket Village (mud walls, green tiles, and millstones under the locust trees, retaining the clan warmth of an "acquaintance society");
o West: Scrap Iron Workshop (Su's father's retreat, where satellite debris, machine tool parts and hibiscus potted plants are piled up, becoming a secret junction between "folk science" and "alien technology").

o The main building is a four-story red brick building. The slogan "Knowledge Changes Destiny" hangs in the corridor, and there are animation characters painted by students with correction fluid on the walls.
