This fanfic is based on the author’s own imagination. Feel free to discuss your thoughts together. My ideas do not follow the original plot exactly...
Xu Sangyu stayed up all night binge-watching the xianxia drama Nian Wushuang. The all-character-BE ending made her so furious she nearly had a heart attack. When she opened her eyes, she had somehow transmigrated into the drama as a minor food god who died early in the story.
During the war between gods and demons, she was accidentally injured by Tai He, lost all her divine power, and slept for a hundred years on Pinghu Mountain. Then some thing calling itself a "System" forcibly bound itself to her:
"Win over Yuan Zhong and prevent the destruction of the world. Fail, and all three realms will be buried with it."
Xu Sangyu: ...Isn’t this doomsday priest the cold-hearted, ruthless, beautiful but tragic lunatic who goes berserk and slaughters all three realms in the original story?!
Yuan Zhong, the great priest of the Fox Clan, bears the divine artifact "God’s Left Hand." Feared and deceived by his own people, he was imprisoned in a forbidden place and had his divine power sealed by the Five Sins Collar.
To save her male idol, Xu Sangyu goes to his side and finds new ways to feed him every day:
Spirit-fruit preserves to suppress his demonic energy, medicinal soups to treat his old wounds. Even when he goes berserk and wrecks heaven and earth, she dares to charge forward with osmanthus cakes in hand:
"How about eating first, then destroying the world?"
Yuan Zhong sneers and grips her by the throat. "Are you a spy, or just an idiot?"
She responds by slipping a candy into his mouth. "I’m the person who’s going to cook for you for the rest of your life."
Later...
He snaps his collar and bathes the Elders’ Hall in blood for her.
She sacrifices her divine bones to Heaven, trading them for a chance at his survival.
The three realms call him a devil bent on destroying the world, but he holds her tightly beside the Heavenly Stairway:
"If I could only choose between the world and you..."
"I choose the world you love." She smiles, turns away, pushes him back, and leaps from the Heavenly Stairway.
I cried when I saw the awkward part. However, there are indeed some logical inconsistencies in the book.
It looks good, the plot is compact, not procrastinating, and the writing is very good
