Schemes of the Ninefold Phoenix

A game of political intrigue that begins with a marriage alliance ultimately becomes a deep-sea redemption, spanning three hundred years of grudges.

**Jiang Yao**, daughter of the Marquis of Zhenbei, marries into the Crown Prince's residence to investigate her father's wrongful conviction, becoming a pawn of Crown Prince **Xiao Yu**. She thinks it's a transaction in which each party gets what they want. Little does she know that the blood of the long-extinct merman royal line flows through her veins, or that the marriage hides a world-shaking secret involving the late emperor, the East Sea, Northern Yan, and even Guixu.

Xiao Yu appears to be a gentle, refined crown prince, but in truth he bears the fate of a merman prince reincarnated. He plans each move carefully, yet gradually falls for Jiang Yao as they vie against each other. When the truth behind the Heart-Locking Poison comes to light and the gates of Guixu open once more, they discover that this scheme was set in motion three hundred years ago.
