Li Yingchen, a middle-aged man who has lost his job and is suffering from depression, transmigrates to another world where qi cultivation reigns supreme, alongside a soldier, Sergeant Zhang. He accidentally crushes to death Li Hanyue, heir to the Prince of Xing’an, who was fleeing for his life. Even more surprisingly, he devours the Taotie secret art the heir unleashes in his dying struggle, gaining a Sacred Physique foundation and a noble family’s status for free!
Too bad the original owner was a “good-for-nothing” whose father didn’t care for him and whose mother didn’t love him. The old prince had even sent him to the capital as a hostage.
Luckily, the empress dotes on him. He clings to her powerful support, ignores the rules, cracks the Startling Insects and Corpse Theft cases, and wipes out an evil cult, eventually becoming the Marquis Champion.
When he returns to the prince’s estate for his coming-of-age ceremony, he executes the wicked servants and inherits the legacy of the Li family’s ancestor, a Sage-level cultivator. But who could have guessed that the ancestor had transmigrated too? And from an era when people fought for their country? Does someone transmigrate into this world once every three thousand years? Is this a joke?
Following in the footsteps of our forebears, I’m setting off on this journey!!!
Li Yingchen’s daily life:
“Old Zhang, we can’t come all this way and leave empty-handed. Building a harem is our mission. It’s not against the law. How about this: once I’m enthroned, I’ll make you crown prince!”
“Making money is our top priority. Don’t worry, as long as I have a bite to eat, you’ll have a pile of crap to smell.”
“The empress is the most beautiful woman in the world, and she treats me so well. Those long, fair legs of hers are worth clinging to.”
It's okay. The setting is quite interesting. There's a meat suit coming through, and there's a special operator with it. The logic is pretty good, and the use of semi-literary extras to explain the worldview is quite innovative. It's just that the beginning is a bit slow, and the cool points haven't come out yet. The update is relatively short, so I'll give it a try first.
