The Sweet and Gentle Husband I Bought

No melodrama, no clichés, just a warm and sweet story about everyday family life. Lu Yanqing, a lonely veteran on his way home after leaving the army, meets the poor little rabbit An Wan, along with the extra addition of a little dumpling, An Xiaodi. The two work things out together and build a life bit by bit, growing happier with each passing day.

An Wan, struggling to get by under his stepmother, accidentally saves a discharged soldier who has been badly wounded. Grateful, Lu Yanqing sets out with money to repay the poor shuang'er, but through a twist of fate, he ends up buying him as his husband. Lu Yanqing, abandoned by his parents as a child, only learns after marrying An Wan what it feels like to be cherished and worried over. An Wan follows the man back to his hometown, uncertain about the future, only to discover that this man is nothing like an ordinary farmhand. He cares for him, protects him, patiently teaches him, and even treats his little brother like his own child, helping him grow. Little by little, An Wan gives his heart to him without even realizing it. Watching his husband grow more cheerful and smile more often, Lu Yanqing thinks his sweet, gentle little husband is perfect in every way, except that he's too frail, so Lu Yanqing doesn't dare be too rough with him. That's why Lu Yanqing quietly resolves to work hard, earn money, and buy land and an ox, so his husband can live a good life.
