[The heroine is no good person: selfish, self-serving, chaotic evil]
She never becomes a consort, but she creates imperial favorites.
Shi Qiu, an intern doctor, dies from overwork and unexpectedly binds herself to a women’s career-planning System, becoming Jian Qiu in the world of Empresses in the Palace.
It’s just being a palace maid, right? I’m in!
And so Jian Qiu begins her journey from a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle to a Victorious Fighting Buddha.
She can charm demons, win over Buddhas, and subdue devils. In the harem, she earns rave reviews from everyone. From the emperor and empress dowager down to the eunuchs and palace maids, everyone has a good word for her.
What do you do when you’re too good at your job? You go from working in the harem to working in the imperial court.
Before she knows it, she’s exceeded her mission goals.
As she prepares to return to Blue Star, the System showers her with confetti: “The person standing before you is the chief palace etiquette officer, acting deputy empress, honorary godmother to the new emperor, heir to Su Ma Gu, savior of the imperial bloodline, master architect of imperial favorites, Qing Palace Oscar winner, foremost female palace official, the one destined to be immortalized in future textbooks: Jian Qiu!”
Jian Qiu smiles and raises a hand modestly: “Just doing the basics. Don’t make a big deal out of it.”
Note: No romance, just career climbing, though she may look for some fun later.
The story combines elements from the TV series and original novel, and includes some events from before the selection of consorts and even before the characters entered the prince’s household. Please don’t read if that bothers you.
