The Underground River and the Lighthouse

The Dawn of Accomplices... Two souls the world has branded as “mad.” Qi Songyue, a brilliant student who studied overseas, is setting a grand plan in motion. She never expected to encounter the enigmatic Shen Shiyun along the way. When an anonymous exchange takes place behind a rusted iron gate at three in the morning, two gamblers staking their trauma as collateral formally embark on a pact of complicity, written in blood. They are each other’s hunters, and each other’s most dangerous accomplices. As the noose of family and academic interests gradually tightens around them, the game that began with an exchange of data has long since become a mutual devouring of two broken souls. In the dark undercurrent forged by power and trauma, every heartbeat is evidence of a crime, and every breath a move in the game. They are each other’s lighthouses, and mirrors reflecting the abyss. There is no redemption here, only two mad souls scarred by the system and their pasts.
