He Yu is a posthumous son who left his hometown in Yangzhou with his mother and grew up in Peking. He also fell in love with his best friend Gao Ze. Originally living a peaceful life, he met Duan Langxuan, a "military bandit", and broke up their fateful couple with a stick. He Yu was very puzzled as to why Duan Langxuan could be cold-hearted, cruel and cunning at times, and yet tender and affectionate at other times, gentle and courteous as before.
Duan Langxuan was also asking for trouble, his heart was rubbed to pieces by He Yu, but he just couldn't leave him...
