Steel Helmets and Fiery Hearts: The German-Armed Division's War Against Japan

The land is ravaged by war, its rivers and mountains soaked in blood. In 1937, China had become a living hell. The German-equipped divisions, a battle-hardened force armed to the teeth yet burdened with a weighty mission, rose to the nation's defense in its hour of peril. Wearing gleaming steel helmets and carrying German firearms, they faced Japanese planes, heavy artillery, and tanks with iron resolve. On the Shanghai battlefield, the scorched earth of Luodian bore witness to their bloody stand. The front lines changed hands again and again, and every inch of ground was soaked in blood. Outside Nanjing, they formed a wall with their own bodies to repel the Japanese invaders' frenzied assault, refusing to retreat even as casualties mounted. Amid the tumult of resistance against Japan, the soldiers of the German-equipped divisions composed one tragic battle hymn after another with their blood and courage. Their story is an indelible part of the nation's memory, a magnificent epic of the Chinese people's unyielding struggle.
