In 1905, near the end of the Qing dynasty, revolutionary unrest had not yet fully erupted. Society was in turmoil, and superstition and unease were widespread among the people.
Setting: A remote town in Jiangnan called Wuyin Town, surrounded by mountains and forests shrouded in thick fog. An abandoned ancient temple stood in town, and rumors said it held a secret that must never be revealed.
