The Years My Childhood Friend and I Loved and Hated Each Other

[Two male leads + childhood friends + blood feud + tragic ending + both devoted only to each other]

On the day of the investiture ceremony, the enemy nation invaded. In just a few hours, Northern Liang was destroyed. The deposed Crown Prince Yan Yuan became a prisoner, while his childhood friend, who had died young, turned out to be the ruler of the enemy nation. That night, Yuwen Li held Yan Yuan's hand as he killed Northern Liang's last emperor.

“A-Yuan, I'll let you go for now. Next time we meet, I won't let you leave. I'll hide you away.”

Their childhood days together were gone for good. Could the fate of their blood feud be undone?

“What did you wish for that day?”

Yan Yuan watched Yuwen Li, dressed in a bright red wedding robe, struggle on the ground. Memories of all the years they had spent together flashed before his eyes.

But he felt nothing anymore.

The warm light of the wedding candles flickered, and the two bright red wedding robes seemed almost blinding to him.

He spoke coldly: “You and I will never meet again, for all eternity.”

"From this day forth, no matter how far apart our paths may lead, we will never meet again."
