My Fair Princess: Yongqi and Xiaoyanzi Reunited

Yongqi returned to the palace with the emperor, full of hope. On the very day he came back, Xiao Yanzi discovered that she was pregnant with his child. But she didn’t tell Yongqi, Ziwei, or anyone else. It wasn’t until her belly gradually grew that they realized something was wrong. Xiao Jian tried to persuade his sister to have the baby aborted, but she was already too far along. He also hadn’t noticed in time, so all they could do was let her give birth. Two years later, Xiao Yanzi gave birth to a son with Yongqi, named Xiao Yuxuan. He was every bit as mischievous and troublesome as his mother, though fortunately he was also skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. Qing’er taught him those arts, Benjamin taught him the violin, and Xiao Jian taught him martial arts. Xiao Yuxuan’s kung fu was just like Yongqi’s when he was a child. Two years later, Yongqi kept his appointment and went to Dali, Yunnan. When he saw that Xiao Yanzi had a son, he assumed she had married Benjamin. Only later did he learn that Xiao Yuxuan was his own son. Then he realized that Xiao Yanzi had given birth to his child and raised him alone over the past two years. He was overjoyed, and his heart ached for all she had endured raising their son by herself.
