Poem of the Citrus Tree

[Don't read this. I wrote it early on, and it's so cringey.] My younger brother keeps fighting and grabbing for everything. What can I do?!

Half-blind mixed-race boy + possessive teenage prodigy

Kind and sincere + meticulous and calculating

A story that begins in the winter when they are fifteen:

Xia Yanshu is a little blind boy, and he's mixed-race. He wasn't born blind. At six, he developed a rare nervous system disorder and gradually began losing his sight. By nine, he was completely visually impaired. He had never met his father, and his mother died that winter when he was nine. His family couldn't afford proper treatment, so he can only make out blurry figures in very bright light.

Yue Li is a wildly possessive teenage prodigy who ranks first in the city on every exam. Eager to grow up faster, he skips grades repeatedly, wins first prize in a national physics competition, and is accepted early to a top university at fourteen. He's an academically gifted student in an influential family, but he's very good to his older brother: a total “bro-con.”

Xie Yiju is a wealthy young man, a second-generation rich kid with British nationality. His parents divorced and remarried, worsening his autistic symptoms, and he becomes intensely misanthropic when interacting with others.

He's only different with the male lead.
