In the ever-shifting world of cultivation, a fierce wind rises. Even the strongest thread cannot stop a kite from breaking free, and in an instant it vanishes beyond the horizon. At the same time, an ever-present enemy comes riding the wind, and familiar bloodshed sweeps over the land once more. Standing in the wind, the young boy watches the kite disappear. Hatred and indignation churn within him, and a desire to grow stronger blazes like a wildfire.
The once-naive child has grown up, like that kite soaring high. Bearing an ethereal dream and carrying grudges etched into his bones, he resolutely sets foot on the path to immortality. In this perilous fantasy world, he will hack his way through every obstacle, measure heaven and earth with his own flesh and blood, and defy fate with unyielding resolve. He will break the chains of karma binding him, and bring all love and hatred to their final reckoning over the long road of cultivation.
