The Blood of Youth: A Young Man in Rain and Snow

[Fanfic + tragic at its core + main storyline + ensemble cast]

Xiao Se × Sikong Qianluo, Lei Wujie × Ye Ruoyi, Xiao Yu × Ye Anshi

This book is adapted from The Blood of Youth. I’ve given the heroine, Xiao Yu, three names. Anyway, this fanfic is just ridiculously good. The first name, Xiao Chuxi, was given to her by her mother; the second, Xiao Lingxue, by her royal uncle; and the third, Xiao Yu, was chosen by herself. She’s an absolutely wonderful person: optimistic, confident, bright, and bold.

All her tragedies stem from her face, which looks so very much like her mother’s. She resented heaven and earth, but in the end, the person she resented most was herself. Eventually, she even believed that whole load of nonsense.

“Princess Yongning of Tianqi City is willing to give her life in exchange for the lives of the city’s people! The Xiao Imperial Clan has wronged you and your royal uncle, but the people here are innocent. Brother Lingchen, please show mercy!”

“Father, I ask you to permit Princess Yongning, Xiao Chuxi, to guard the imperial mausoleum. She must not leave without an imperial decree!”

“After Mother passed away, State Preceptor Qi Tianchen made an accurate prediction. I, Xiao Chuxi, bring death to my mother, my brothers, and my family. I deserve to die a thousand deaths!”

The author hadn’t planned to give her a love interest, but by the end, even the author couldn’t help feeling sorry for her.
