The Empress Took My Military Authority, Then Begged Me to Fight When the Enemy Attacked

Three years ago, Li Luochen was the Tianchi Empire’s greatest war god, keeping its neighboring kingdoms so thoroughly subdued they could barely raise their heads.

Even the powerful Sand Bandit Empire, which had plagued the empire’s northern lands, was nearly destroyed by his hand.

But just as Li Luochen was about to wipe out the Sand Bandit Empire’s capital, Shazhou City, the Tianchi Empress suddenly ordered him to cease the war and return home at once.

Li Luochen did not understand why the empress would call a halt at such a critical moment, but he obeyed.

Yet when he returned to the empire, the empress had him arrested on the spot.

Not only that, she stripped him of every position, demoted him to a commoner, and threw him into the death row prison, where he was tortured day and night.

The empress did all this for one reason alone: she had seen footage of Li Luochen fighting the Sand Bandits in a memory crystal.

She mistakenly thought the Sand Bandits were nothing but a ragtag bunch that anyone could defeat, yet Li Luochen had taken a full five years to beat them.

The empress believed Li Luochen was nothing more than a parasite, greedily devouring the empire’s resources, and that was why she threw him into the death row prison.

However, three years later, when the Sand Bandit army returned and stormed deep into the heart of the Tianchi Empire, the empress finally realized just how powerful they were.

With no other choice, the empress humbled herself and personally entered the prison to ask Li Luochen to take the field.

After enduring three years of torture in the death row prison, Li Luochen responded to the empress’s request with a single, casual word: “Get lost!!”
