Tales of the Town of Time

Lin Xiao is an ordinary librarian, introverted and somewhat lonely. While sorting through the library's old archives, he stumbles upon an ancient, seemingly unremarkable book. Tucked into its front page is a yellowed note asking for help, signed by the "Guardian of Time." It mentions a secret passage through time hidden in a particular old archive. Driven by curiosity and an impulse he can't explain, Lin Xiao follows the note's directions on a full-moon night and opens the passage hidden behind an old bookshelf. It leads him to an ancient town, where he meets an old man who calls himself the "Guardian of Time." The old man tells him that the town is a vital link between the past and the present, and that transmigration and being reborn are made possible by meeting certain conditions there. Generations of guardians have protected this secret to keep the timeline from being destroyed. But now, an evil force is trying to invade the town and disrupt the order of time, altering the course of history and bringing disaster to the future. Lin Xiao realizes he has been chosen as the new guardian. He must find the source of this force in the town and stop it. Working with a woman named Su Yao, Lin Xiao embarks on one perilous adventure after another. In the end, they discover that the source of the evil force is a scientist from the future. Even more terrifying, the scientist is being used by a mysterious organization with an aim that could destroy everything.
