[Transmigrate into a book set in the 1980s + interstellar gourmet System + adorable mecha genius kid + face-slapping comeuppance + cold-faced fleet captain vs. charming goddess of cooking] Fictional content, unrelated to real life.
Su Wanwan, an interstellar culinary goddess, unexpectedly transmigrates into a book set in a bygone era, becoming the scheming ex-wife who ran off with the future Galactic Fleet Captain's money. In the original story, she flees with their three-year-old mecha prodigy son, causing her husband to die in a wormhole and their son to turn into an interstellar tyrant. In the end, the heroine who transmigrated into the book swoops in and becomes the savior of the universe.
Feeling the interstellar credits in her pocket, meant for her escape, and looking at the handsome soldier in the lab calibrating a photon cannon, with a little tyke in her arms who can dismantle and reassemble quantum engines, Su Wanwan activates her mind-space instead: "I'm going to be the savior of this interstellar world!"
After binding herself to the Ancient Earth Culinary Guide System, she recreates Dongpo pork with one hand and peony fish slices with the other. She plans to earn enough for a starship ticket and then get divorced, but soon discovers:
- Her cold-faced husband is using a star destroyer to deliver fresh ingredients to her.
- Her genius kid has turned a mecha core into a smart stove.
- The military's senior officers nearly trigger an alarm fighting over tasting slots.
- The supporting female character who transmigrated into the book watches the glory badge that should have been hers turn into a culinary award.
When the insect queen and her billions of troops bear down on them, Su Wanwan pilots a mecha built around the Manchu-Han banquet, blasting the insect vanguard into pepper-and-salt-flavored chunks. In the command cabin, the woman pinned against the star map hears the usually stern commander say hoarsely, "Madam, the newly developed antimatter reactor... want to try the two-person piloting mode?"
