The Empress Rules Her Family, Governs the Nation, and Brings Peace to the World

(Making money through business + governing the country + political maneuvering + raising children + multiple husbands = a clearheaded, independent heroine)

(Clearheaded, independent young empress vs. ministers and husbands from the former court and harem)

Liu Zhiyu, a 27-year-old online novelist, wakes up reborn in the body of a 16-year-old empress.

She wants nothing more than to die, but the Grand Empress Dowager forces her to attend court and govern. With no officials, no generals, no money, and one disaster after another during the dynasty's early days, Liu Zhiyu decides to make the best of her new life: she rolls up her sleeves, starts a business, and tackles each new problem as it comes.

She has no interest in romance, but is forced to choose consorts. The civil and military officials don't want their most cherished legitimate sons to enter the palace and serve the royal family, yet they don't want to give up the chance to climb even higher, either. So they rack their brains for a way to get what they want.

Empress Lin Yuting, wise to the saying that where there's a policy, there's a way around it, is doing everything she can to avoid choosing consorts. At the same time, she has to work hard at learning how to govern and keep her businesses profitable. She's so busy she can barely tell day from night.

Join us as we watch the empress grow and follow her as she governs the country.

(This is not a one-on-one romance. The heroine is an empress, after all. She deserves more than one husband. Readers who only like couples with no previous partners, please take note. Thank you for your support and for reading. Enjoy!)
