You Have Superpowers, I Have Giant Insects

[Female-led, no romance + decisive and ruthless heroine + side plot revives her dearly missed friend, platonically] He Qi is an ordinary, down-on-her-luck sixteen-year-old high school girl in the 21st century, happily studying in her first year. She’s healthy, has a loving family, and her career-driven mom and kind, stay-at-home dad take care of every detail of her life. If nothing unexpected happens, she’ll enjoy a perfectly ordinary, happy life, free of worry and with no children or grandchildren to burden her. But if nothing unexpected happens, then something unexpected is bound to happen. One weekend, she stumbles upon a tiny meteorite, enters the body of a cosmic insect queen, and is chosen to act on its behalf. Within 24 hours, the space radiation brought by the meteorite will gradually engulf the entire Blue Star. The world is about to meet its end! Rejected by the human alliance, He Qi builds an army on her own. No, not an army: she becomes an entire insect swarm, fighting her way through a sea of blood to claim the throne. [A quick note: the author loves terrible jokes. Don’t catch a chill while reading at night.] [My other title was actually Giant Insect Apocalypse. Both “giant insect” and “apocalypse” refer to He Qi and the insect race, but I’ll switch to that title when we reach 200,000 words!]
