In the autumn of the twelfth year of the Republic of China, eight-year-old Jiang Yunyang was separated from his family while fleeing famine. He fainted in front of the Qingxu Temple at the foot of Qingcheng Mountain. He was found and taken in by Taoist priest Xuancheng who had returned from abroad.
