In early March 2003, Dr. George Grant, a leading paleontology researcher at Miskatonic University, arrives in the Himalayas. Armed with a new device developed by a national laboratory, he is certain he can complete the expedition. Jack Hoffman, whom Dr. Grant invited along, remains pessimistic. He admires the doctor's optimism, but doesn't believe this will be a simple expedition. And indeed, it isn't: a yeti, ancient ruins, avalanches, and monsters appear one after another.
