The Empress's Tutor: Teacher, I Want You as My Empress

Devoted to one another + both powerful, with the female lead stronger + female emperor's mentor + female teacher and male student

A prince from the Cold Palace × the female mentor who tutors the emperor

His teacher wanted him to become a good emperor, to put his country and people first in everything he did. Ever since she had rescued him from the darkness, she had been his only light. From that day on, his life belonged to her.

He had planned to live up to her hopes, but the more time they spent together, the more his heart stirred for her. He wanted her to love him, but her heart held only her country and the realm.

Heartbroken.

For his teacher's birthday, he prepared a hundred-mile stretch of peach blossoms. She told him he was being extravagant and wasting manpower and resources, and that he should focus instead on ending the war with the neighboring country.

He held a grand proposal ceremony, hoping to make his teacher his empress. But she said it was too extravagant and that he should be more frugal and put the people first. If he really wanted to do something worthwhile, he should solve the floods in the south once and for all.

Her heart was full of her country and its people. Surely there was no room for him in it. But that was all right. He would pursue her bravely.

He seemed to be nothing more than a tool for his teacher to govern the realm, a puppet. But he was willing.

From the Cold Palace to the throne, she had always been by his side. She was his teacher and his friend, teaching him the ways of an emperor and the classics of history and literature.

She was his teacher, his closest friend, and the only person he loved. But she was emotionally distant and never realized how he felt.
