Time period: The story mainly takes place during the timeline of the first volume of The Three-Body Problem (from the 1970s to 2007), but the protagonist, Pan Yingzhe, was born earlier, in 1947, giving him enough time to grow up and get involved in key events.
Setting: The story begins in Bagui, Huaxia, then expands across the globe, eventually touching on interstellar politics between the Trisolaris system and Earth.
Background: Earth faces the threat of invasion by the Trisolaran civilization. The Trisolarans use sophons to monitor Earth's technological development and block progress in fundamental physics. Amid this crisis, a superhuman with Kryptonian blood quietly grows stronger. His existence may change the fate of both civilizations!
