Palace intrigue and political schemes [A resolute, courageous, wise, and capable female general x a patient, restrained, deeply shrewd prince] [Rebirth + substitute marriage + revenge]
Yang Lan was once the Great Qi's foremost female general, commanding armies across the battlefield. But she died with hatred in her heart after a hidden arrow pierced her chest in battle.
When she opens her eyes again, three years have passed. She has become a minister's daughter, and everything has changed beyond recognition.
The emperor, who once promised to marry her and make her empress, turns around and crowns the chancellor's daughter after her death. He also issues an edict betrothing her to Prince Xiang.
The young officer who once served under her has risen to become a powerful general commanding a vast army.
Some of the female generals who once followed her into battle have been demoted, while others are trapped in their inner chambers. It is as if everything has returned to the beginning.
Even the Third Prince, whom she remembers as quiet and reserved, has become Prince Xiang, known to everyone for his debauchery and drunken excesses.
Yang Lan's fame fades away with her supposed “death in battle.”
Reborn, she is haunted by old grudges as a new game begins. Everything has changed, and she must learn to read people's hearts all over again.
Only when she gradually clears the clouds and sees the truth does she realize that someone has never forgotten her.
