The Yandere Villain Is My One True Love

[Fantasy + strong heroine + villain + yandere + devoted 1v1 romance + (fake) substitute trope]

Liu Qi, the missing cultivator and legendary champion of the righteous path, has finally returned.

The first thing she does after returning to the cultivation world is find Pei Shouzhi, the great villain who has come back to life with no memories and nothing to his name.

While busy reviving the novel’s male lead, female supporting characters, and male supporting characters, Liu Qi also tries to trick the “innocent” villain, but the System won’t let her.

Liu Qi fumes inwardly: “Why can’t I pursue my own fiancé after he’s lost his memory?!”

System: [Host, please stay in character.]

[The heroine can’t pursue the villain.]

Oh, fine. Then she’ll just have to tempt him on the sly.

But… why does this villain keep going on about being a substitute, and how he’d rather die than be one?

What substitute?

Pei Shouzhi has been reborn, but he’s lost both his cultivation and his memories.

When Liu Qi tries to seduce him, he scoffs. “Not interested.”

But just as he starts falling for her, he discovers that he’s actually a damn substitute?!

At first, Pei Shouzhi gives a chilling laugh. “Hah. Am I really so pathetic that I’d be someone else’s substitute?”

Later… he kneels before Liu Qi, lifts her hand to his cheek, and speaks with humble devotion:

“Can’t you love me?”

“Even just a little.”

In the end, Pei Shouzhi lets go of all his pride.

“Qiqi, I love you.”

“I’m that pathetic. Let me stay by your side, even if it means… being your substitute.”

[Warning: the male lead is going to eat his words!]
