Lotus Husk

The Investiture of the Gods is a lie. The Peach Banquet is poison.

Three thousand years of karmic debts rot into peaches, and the karmic fire of the ninth heaven burns away the truth.

Nezha drags his ruined lotus-root body as he watches Li Jing turn into a soul-suppressing pagoda, while Lei Zhenzi’s flesh and blood are fused into a thunder drum.

When Yang Jian’s three-pointed blade begins devouring its master, he realizes the Investiture of the Gods is actually Hongjun’s living sacrificial furnace. The gods are its vessels, the people its fuel, and what it forges is the fuse for Journey to the West’s great calamity.

Sun Wukong’s golden cudgel has already smashed through Tathagata’s lies, while Ao Bing’s dragon bones still burn in hell.

Behind the Celestial Court’s use of incense offerings to prolong its life, the pits of peaches ooze the desperate cries of mortals.

With only three lotus petals of his body left before they crumble away, Nezha clutches the last half-fragment of Lei Zhenzi’s soul.

This time, he will wield the lotus as a blade and sever the calamity of the gods and immortals devouring the Three Realms!
