Broken Wings: Her Shattered Self

Shen Zhiyao grew up in a home starved of affection. Her parents' indifference and neglect hung over her childhood like a heavy shadow. Habitual timidity and low self-esteem kept her from looking directly at the little sun who was meant for her. But He Yunzhou drew closer bit by bit, trying in his own way to dispel the darkness in her heart. Faced with this precious love, Shen Zhiyao was deeply conflicted. On one hand, she cherished the warmth He Yunzhou brought her; on the other, the inferiority she had carried since childhood kept her from approaching him too easily. She feared that one day her sun would set, never to rise again. With He Yunzhou's long and steadfast companionship, the ice in Shen Zhiyao's heart gradually melted. She began to try to break free from the chains of her low self-esteem and bravely face her feelings. The process was difficult, but each small step brought her closer to facing herself and daring to love. Even if fate has clipped our wings, the journey of healing through loving and being loved can help us find the courage and strength to fly again.
