A Sword's Question for the Way

After a cataclysmic war in a technologically advanced world, he accidentally transmigrates to the Three Kingdoms era. He’s an ordinary man from the future, and at first he thinks that transmigrating there after undergoing genetic modification will make him the best in the world. He dreams of fighting Lu Bu and taking on the Five Tiger Generals. But then he discovers that this version of the Three Kingdoms has Xuangang martial artists, cultivators, and even true immortals. Cultivation and the immortal realm are separated by a strict boundary. Once your cultivation reaches a certain level, you face a tribulation of lightning: either you die or you ascend.

The protagonist uses a history book to follow the course of the Three Kingdoms, only to find that although events unfold in roughly the same order, the path seems to have changed. For instance, Ding Yuan’s daughter is named Ding Yunchu. She doesn’t want to enter Emperor Ling of Han’s nude swimming club, so she gets someone to take her place and becomes an adopted daughter of Wang Yun, who is also in Jinyang. This gives her a legitimate identity. But she doesn’t like Lu Bu; she likes the protagonist. So how will the history of Lu Bu and Diaochan unfold?

The protagonist also meets Zhao Yun right from the start. After a series of cons and deceptions, he becomes brothers with Zhao Yun. But the flapping of a butterfly’s wings can’t alter the course of history, so how will Zhao Yun end up leaving the protagonist to seek out Liu Bei…
